In plain language: we use account and goal data to provide the service, we do not sell personal data, private Journey notes and photos are not included in public shares, and you can manage visibility, export your data, or request account deletion.
Scope and responsibility
This policy applies to the Osprey Pulse mobile apps, website, web app, public share pages, and related support. Osprey Pulse is responsible for deciding how personal data is processed for these services.
Information you provide
We collect information you submit, including email address, username, display name, locale and timezone; goal descriptions and planning answers; plan edits; task completions and check-ins; optional private notes and photos; profile and privacy settings; friend requests, encouragement, chat messages, reactions and reports; and information included in support requests.
Information collected automatically
We may process device identifiers used for anonymous drafts and idempotency, IP address, request and security logs, browser or app version, operating system, language, timezone, and diagnostic or telemetry events when those services are enabled. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Osprey Pulse.
How we use information
We use personal data to create and secure accounts; generate, save, version, and display plans; materialize daily tasks; record progress and companion growth; provide Journey, friends, chat, feed, sharing, moderation, and export features; send transactional email and permitted notifications; prevent abuse and duplicate actions; respond to support; and understand service reliability. We do not sell personal data.
AI-assisted planning
When you ask for an AI plan or rebuild, the goal prompt, relevant planning answers, locale, and plan context may be sent to the AI provider configured for Osprey Pulse. AI output can be inaccurate and remains an editable draft until you accept it. Private Journey notes and photos are not used for plan generation unless a future feature clearly asks for separate permission.
Social features and public sharing
You control whether a goal is private, visible to friends, or public. Friends may see only the profile, companion, presence, goal, and activity fields allowed by your privacy settings. Public share pages contain a privacy-sanitized daily, monthly, or date-range summary. Private notes, photos, reflections, sensitive task details, and full Journey history are not eligible for public sharing. You can revoke share links.
Service providers and disclosures
We may use hosting, database, email, AI, file storage, security, moderation, analytics, and telemetry providers to operate Osprey Pulse. They receive only the information needed for their role and are expected to protect it. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
Retention and security
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security records. Share pages may remain available until revoked. We use access controls, encrypted transport, secure credential handling, private object access, and other reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your controls and rights
You can update profile and privacy settings, manage friends, remove eligible content, revoke share links, and request an export through available product controls. You may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability where applicable. Account deletion may retain limited records where law, fraud prevention, security, or dispute resolution requires it.
Children, international use, and changes
Osprey Pulse is not directed to children under 13, and local law may require a higher minimum age or parental permission. Data may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, with safeguards required by applicable law. We may update this policy as the product changes; material updates will be identified by a new date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
Questions or requests
For privacy requests, legal questions, or account concerns, contact Osprey Pulse. We may need to verify your identity before completing a data request.
